As a Finance Controller you will operate as a strategic partner building foundational financial structures, automating processes with AI, and managing fast-paced operational growth.

Location: Bangalore, India

Experience: 5+ years

Responsibilities:

• Strategic Analysis & Budgeting: Partner with leadership to analyze financial data, prepare budgets and forecasts, and provide insights to guide strategic decision-making.
• Financial Reporting & Compliance: Oversee the entire financial reporting cycle, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements. Maintain meticulous records and adherence to all accounting standards and regulations.
• Internal Controls & Risk Management: Implement and monitor robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
• Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow operations, optimize cash flow strategies, and ensure timely payments and collections.
• Financial Systems, AI Integration and Automation: Maintain and improve our accounting systems, ensuring efficient financial processes and data integrity. Implementing AI and automation tools to handle manual accounting tasks, allowing for efficient, scalable financial operations.
• Revenue Recognition & SaaS Metrics: Managing complex revenue recognition for AI models and tracking key startup KPIs.
• Liaising with consultants: Ability to effectively liaise with consultants or service providers which may provide services in relation to accounting, book-keeping, payroll, compliance and reporting (from a legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory perspective) etc.

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of GAAP or IFRS or IND AS and experience in preparing financial statements.
• Ability to design and implement internal controls and assess financial risks.
• Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and draw meaningful conclusions.
• High-level knowledge and understanding of the tax and regulatory landscape in order to oversee and ensure timely and accurate compliance and reporting.
• Communicate financial information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Expertise in accounting software like Tally, Zoho Books, or similar platforms.
• Ability to identify and solve complex financial challenges.

 Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA or CA certification and minimum 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role.
• Bachelors/Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
• Experience managing and implementing financial process improvement initiatives.
